Teaching Students in the MCP Student Care Centre about Covid-19
Covid-19 is a new coronavirus discovered in China in December 2019 and has now spread throughout the world. Teaching our children about Covid-19 in MCP Student Care is one way of fulfilling our social responsibility.
There’s a lot of news coverage about the outbreak of Covid-19 in Singapore and it can be overwhelming for parents and frightening for children. The MCP Student Care Centre teachers filter information and talk about it in a way children can understand. It’s also important for our teachers, to teach the children how to take care of their personal hygiene to protect themselves. Teachers are aware not to overwhelm children with unnecessary information that may cause anxiety.
MCP Student Care Centre runs a series of seven days talks to enhance the children’s memory and cultivate good personal hygiene habits. We carefully monitor children’s reactions to ensure the information is received positively by our students and does not cause any fear in their minds.
